“You can be miserable before you have a cookie and you can be miserable after you eat a cookie, but you can’t be miserable while you are eating a cookie.”
-Ina Garten
Ina is right (of course!!) - no one is truly miserable when biting into a delicious handmade cookie. It is not too strong a statement to say that cookies are little ambassadors of joy, and those of us who devote ourselves to making fabulous cookies have a secret - at Batch, the pleasure is all ours! Our luscious cookies have equally luscious stories. Each has a namesake and is filled with only the very best ingredients. All our cookies are handmade in small (ahem) batches ;)
I’m Jean Kennedy, and I am the founder and head baker at Batch. I wanted to create a company that would combine my passion for baking with my passion for entrepreneurship and brand building. Creating Batch has been a joy!
At Batch, we are dedicated to these core beliefs and pillars:
Craft. We are small because we value quality over quantity. Every Batch cookie is handcrafted and baked in small batches. This means we are in touch with the process from selecting every ingredient to ensuring it reaches its highest potential. We can stand behind every morsel that leaves our ovens because we have personally created each and every cookie.
Quality. Our recipes have been tested with the very best ingredients, and we have curated those ingredients to achieve the most delightful and satisfying taste experience for our customers. Our goal is always to deliver the most joyful, luxurious taste experience for our customers.
Service. Our commitment to our craft goes beyond the oven. We want to engage and delight our customers and establish long-term loyalty. To do so, we meet our customers where they are, whether we are being featured in a local specialty shop or we are delivering Batch to their doorstep.
Community. As a small business, we know we have a stake not only in crafting the best possible product but also in helping craft a vibrant community. Our dedication to our community is demonstrated by our commitment to donate half of all sales that take place via cultural or nonprofit institutions to that institution.
